Fuscospora cliffortioides (Mountain Beech) is an evergreen tree growing to about 12m tall. It is a slower grower than Black beech, and its smaller size makes it popular for residential or even large pot planting. It has a fine, almost heart-shaped leaf, and tolerates hard, infertile, poorly-drained sites in alpine areas. Hardy.
