Olearia lineata, commonly known as tree daisy or narrow-leaved tree daisy, is an evergreen shrub native to New Zealand, occurring naturally in dry, open habitats throughout much of the South Island. It forms a dense, rounded to upright habit with slender, interlacing branches and narrow, grey-green leaves with silvery undersides, giving the plant a fine-textured appearance. In summer, it produces masses of small, white, daisy-like flowers that are attractive to pollinating insects. It is commonly used in native gardens, shelter planting, revegetation projects, and low-maintenance landscapes, valued for its resilience, fine foliage, and profuse flowering display.
