Libertia peregrinans, commonly known as New Zealand iris or mikoikoi, is an evergreen, clump-forming perennial native to New Zealand. With its upright, fan-like foliage, which ranges from green to striking bronze and orange tones, particularly in exposed or colder conditions. In late spring to early summer, it produces small, star-like white flowers held just above the foliage, followed by decorative seed capsules. It is commonly used in mass plantings, borders, and contemporary landscapes, valued for its strong form, colour variation, and low maintenance requirements.
