A compact evergreen shrub with small, dark, green-bronze glossy leaves with a silvery underside.  Star shaped yellow flowers are produced in mid spring, followed by a crop of deep red berries. Best if planted in full sun or part shade. Very hardy and can handle strong winds, coastal conditions and dry soils once established. Evergreen, and hardier than C. 'Frosted Chocolate'.
 
These will grow to approx. 2m high by 2m wide when mature, but regular trims and fertilising will ensure nice form and dense growth if used as a hedge.
