It has small or inconspicuous leaves, branchlets are coloured green, yellow green or bronze green and are leafless. Its flowers between November and January and are violet, purple and white and giving it a wiry, twiggy form. The plant is evergreen and adapts to exposed and dry environments. It is commonly used in native and ecological plantings, coastal and dryland gardens, and for restoration projects, where its structure and resilience make it suitable for low-maintenance landscapes.
