Astelia nervosa is commonly known as Mountain Flax, and is the hardiest of the Astelia’s. This NZ native has long, flexible, leathery leaves that are light green and grey in colour. Flowers are light brown to red, followed by orange fruit. Grows to approx. 1m x 1m when mature.
